The End Malaria Fund marked another milestone with the announcement of a generous E70,000 donation, further strengthening Eswatini’s Zero Malaria mission.
Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini commended the Fund’s essential role in advancing the country’s malaria elimination goals. He emphasized that continued investment in EMF initiatives will propel Eswatini closer to achieving a malaria‑free future.
During the ceremony, EMF Chairperson Ms. Thandile Nxumalo called on Cabinet to actively support awareness campaigns ahead of the malaria season. She encouraged their involvement in advocacy efforts, particularly around the upcoming Global Fund replenishment, and extended an invitation to join EMF in hosting a multisectoral roundtable on World Malaria Day. This platform will further strengthen national commitment to adequately funding malaria elimination interventions.
The signing of the Malaria Pledge Chart alongside the donation underscored strong governmental support. These actions are clear indicators of Cabinet’s dedication to achieving a malaria‑free Eswatini by 2030, demonstrating unity between leadership, communities, and partners in the fight against malaria.
